About Us...

The idea of forming an e-archive of documents, books, maps and various visual materials related to History and Politics of The Caucasus has been developed by Cem Kumuk who has been collecting these materials for many years for his personal archive and researches. Our site is non-profit oriented and established with the aim of being single point of reference for historians, researchers and people having interest in history and politics of The Caucasus. The revenue of the site will be spent to obtain many other archive materials related to history and politics of The Caucasus waiting on dark and dusty shelves of various archives around the world and to make them available for public use through this site.
Archive of over 2.000 materials utilized in publishing the site and all publishing costs are provided by Cem Kumuk. Cem Kumuk was born in Ankara – Turkey in 1967. After having the primary education in Ankara, he has had his academic education at British Literature and Language department of Istanbul University Literature Faculty. Besides his articles on politic history published in various periodicals, his book “Whereabouts Prometheus? / The Caucasus in quest of glistening days” in year 2004 in Turkish Language. Apart from his work on politic history, he has works published on Supply Chain management.
