There is always something new at Archive for History & Politics of The Caucasus.  Following to AKTI archive of 14.000 documents and contends guide, we upload everyday new materials into our catalogues continuously.  Recently together with materials related to Abkhazian and Ossetian history written in Georgian language, lots of new maps drawn in 19^th century and contemporary maps regarding political and ethnic geography of The Caucasus are submitted to common use of our members.  AHPC will add a “video” section in the New Year.  There you will find video clips prepared by German and Soviet war propaganda ministries regarding the Caucasian front of the 2^nd world war.  Also you will have contemporary movies in various languages.

While we come close to the end of 2008, AHPC’s last surprise will be on file downloading system of the site.  Due to the number of archive materials in the site, our members experience difficulty in decision making which material to purchase, which not…  Members would like to know the full contend of the material before purchasing.  In order to enable our members to see contend before buying, we will make all files downloadable before purchasing.  The files that are subject to a certain tariff will be watermarked with www.archivekavkaz.com in the background and can be downloaded without any payment.  If members are satisfied with the contend and wish to buy non-watermarked copy, they can follow ordinary purchase process.  Technical infrastructural preparations for this opportunity still carry on and we hope at the beginning of the new year our members will start enjoying it.
